3-D numbering ordering games

by walkerdoreen07 Tue Mar 30, 2010 6:12 pm

Hello,

When I went over 3-D numbering order games in the Logic Strategy Book the logic games seemed easier than homework.

Is it because, I'm trying to figure these type of games out on my own verses having instructions in the logic guide? I tried my first homework 3-D game (pt 44 S3 G3) and it seemed difficult. I check the posting on the forum and printed out the instructions, I still find game to be challenging. I think I was looking for the usually 3-D diagram and this game had frames and I was looking for Mon-Fri on diagram?

Should I try easier 3-D games, and then go back to homework?

I really want to learn theses games. I fill stuck :?

This game is generally considered to be the most difficult from PrepTest 44. I think there a couple of things that make this game difficult.

1. We don't know how many times each character is going.
2. We don't even know if each character has to go at all.
3. There are a lot of inferences to be made up front.

If you're struggling with 3-D numbered ordering games, I think that you're probably not spending enough time up front trying to make inferences. On these sorts of games, pause after you set up the constraints and think about how those constraints relate to each other.

For this game you can set up two frames based on the fact that G is only assigned once and can go in only the 3rd site or else the fifth site. The LSAT is very consistent with 3-D numbered ordering games, and setting up frames is not always (But Almost Always!) the way to go.

I hope this helps. If you wouldn't mind. Set up the frames for me and post them, and I'll check them to make sure you found all the inferences. Good luck!
