BIO

Shelton Windham has been teaching and tutoring professionally for almost a decade. He has tutored students in nearly every subject and taught both English and mathematics at the high school level. Shelton’s 770 combined score on the GMAT is in the top half of the 99th percentile.

There have been two enduring passions in Shelton’s life: teaching and acting, and he has been searching for new and exciting ways to fulfill those passions for as long as he can remember. Shelton has helped to prepare students for standardized tests, including the TOEFL, SAT, ACT, and GMAT. Further, Shelton has tutored students in a wide array of AP subjects ranging from AP Biology and AP Calculus to AP English Literature and AP World History. His proudest endeavor, however, was building an academic theater program with disadvantaged and troubled teenagers, who overcame great difficulty in learning to perform both improvised comedy and Shakespeare.

While teaching and tutoring, Shelton has continued to indulge his passion for acting and performing in various ways. For two years, Shelton performed as part of a professional improv comedy troupe in Dallas’s West End. He has also been stabbed, bludgeoned, poisoned, slapped, hit, and strangled during his storied career in murder mystery dinner theater. But you’ve never seen Shelton in any of those performances. The more keen-eyed among you may have spotted Shelton on television’s Gotham, Blue Bloods, Law and Order: SVU, Elementary, or other similar programs. You are much more likely, however, to recognize Shelton’s voice than his face. His work as a voice actor can be heard in many popular programs hailing from Japan, such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, One Piece, and Fairy Tail. And if you’ve ever worked for various companies, including Denny’s, Family Dollar Store and the YMCA, you may have been treated to his dulcet tones while training.

When Shelton isn’t teaching or acting, he enjoys challenging himself physically by playing tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, and camping. Likewise, he enjoys challenging himself mentally by solving Rubik’s Cubes, writing, and considering the weighty matters of the universe. Shelton still hopes to one day accomplish one of his two lifelong ambitions, hosting a game show or singing both parts of a duet featuring Kermit and Miss Piggy.
