Will taking Basic Math or Pre-calculus help me?

by beateamlysias Thu Dec 10, 2015 9:59 pm

Hey guys,
I am an undergraduate student planning on taking summer classes at Columbia University. I want to know if taking Pre-cal or Basic Math this summer help me?

I've taken both courses before and got a B- on Basic math and a C+ on Pre-calculus, would it make sense to do them again?

Here are the classes;http://sps.columbia.edu/summer/courses/mathematics

Hey There,

You could answer this better than we could (as we can't look through the curriculum), however pre-calc definitely won't help, but basic math almost certainly would. The math on the GRE is quite basic. I'd recommend you take a practice test so you can get a sense of the math on the GRE, then you can check to make sure the curriculum of the course in question lines up.
