There is a series ‘S’ with ‘n’ positive integers, where |n-5|< 3.

Column A: Mean of the n integers
Column B: Median of the series

Hey Vikas,

Two quick things:

1) When posting a question, it's always helpful to do more than just post it. For example, explain where it got you stuck.

2) Please don't post any more questions from 800 Score. These questions are not realistic, and I don't want people to be studying them in the future.

The first little inequality tells us that Series s has to have between 3 and 7 terms (because if n were either 2 or 8, the inequality would no longer work).

So we know: 3 ≤ n ≤ 7

However, we don't know anything about the actual numbers, so the answer here is D. (Again, I don't think this is a very realistic question).
