need help on an easy question

by janewatts3 Fri Jun 17, 2016 8:56 am

Pg 43 of the algebra book shows this:

-x-1/6 = x+1/6

Normally I'm pretty good at switching signs but I don't understand how (-x - 1) becomes (x+1)

Thanks!
