HI,
i dont get this question at all about what this question asks.
Can u clarify ???
This is from MST 4 question 16 i cant copy the whole chart.....sorry for that..

If the average annual costs $5.50 and the average perennial costs $4.75, how much more would it cost to purchase one annual in every available flower color than it would cost to purchase one perennial in every available flower color?

$4.75
$5.50

Hey Gbd,

So apologies to any people who are seeing this thread without seeing the question. I could paste the whole chart here, but it's enough to know that the chart gives a list of possible colors for annuals and perennials. There are 11 options for annuals, and 10 for perennials.

If the average annual costs $5.50, that means we know the sum of buying one of each flower. Remember the equation for average:

Sum/# of terms = average

Sum/11 = 5.50, so Sum = 60.50

If the average perennial costs $4.75:

Sum/10 = 4.75, so Sum = 47.50

60.50 - 47.50 = 13.00

Let me know if that makes sense. If not, let me know where it confuses you.

Thanks!
