Hey Eaj,

The truth is, it's impossible for us to know the details of any given application process for a specific program type at specific universities. I can answer questions about the GRE, but not about deep specifics of the application process. You should talk to the admissions departments of any schools you're interested in and ask them!

Before joining in MS Finance you can opt for some analytics certificate programs.

Bigdata Analytics/Data science is the study of extracting knowledge from data. It has applications which are industry agnostic and growing at a rapid pace.

Application of analytics in Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI) Industry helps in addressing challenges in BFSI like:

• Improve customer profitability and marketing effectiveness
• Gain actionable insights into financial and business performance
• Manage Fraud & Risk
• Profiling & Segmentation
• Strategy Analysis
• Churn Analysis
• Campaign Management
• Ad hoc Business Analysis

Recently I came across a site called International School of Engineering (INSOFE) where in their programs content, pedagogy, assessment are certified by LTI of Carnegie Mellon University.

Programs they offer:

CPEE - Big Data Analytics and Optimization (http://insofe.edu.in/init/default/cee_program_features)
Engineering Big Data with R and Hadoop Ecosystem (http://insofe.edu.in/init/default/elear ... g_big_data)
Essentials of Applied Predictive Analytics (http://insofe.edu.in/init/default/elear ... _scientist)

Check their site and talk to them to know more details. This might help you.

If you are not planning for any further studies and go abroad immediately, check the videos at http://beyond.insofe.edu.in/category/bu ... education/ in which the author has clearly explained the process and about Statement Of Purpose.

Deepika
