mGRE CAT Exam

by obannone Wed Oct 31, 2012 9:52 pm

I was able to compute the correct answer, 19/40, but I could not figure out how to enter the answer into the two blanks provided. Do I use transfer display, if so, how? Could it be because I'm using a Mac?

3/4 of the attendees at a banquet are men. If 1/2 of the men and 2/5 of the women chose chicken as their entrée, what fraction of all attendees at the banquet chose chicken as their entrée?

Hey Obannone,

Not sure what question you mean, but if there were two blanks, I can only assume there was a slash mark between them, signalling that they stood in for the numerator and denominator of the fraction. So you should just type the number in.

If you're saying that you couldn't type the numbers in for some reason, that would be an issue with the browser. Haven't heard of it before. What browser/version are you using? There's certainly no Mac/PC issue that I know of.

Let me know more and perhaps I can give you more help.
