Hi,
For #34 in Logic Based RC in the 5 pound book of GRE practice problems , I'm having trouble understanding why choice E is not the answer and also why in the explanation it states: that "Moreover, the fact that the price of sorghum, a non-subsidized crop, is lower tends to support, rather than weaken, the claims of the farmers. " I understand that that the price of another crop is largely irrelevant, but I'm not understanding why a non-subsidized crop with a lower price than the price of wheat would support the claim rather than weaken. If the conclusion of the farmers is that removing the subsidy would cause the price of wheat to rise, wouldn't having an example where a non-subsidized crop having a lower price not support the farmer's claim?
Thanks in advance for your help.
