Hi All,
So I've spent the last couple of months prepping for the GRE. Originally I started with the ETS prep book and the Kaplan one (did this in January) - quickly I found out it wasn't useful and then I turned to the 5lb practice book (received mid Feb) to learn the necessary materials for the quant section.
I've gone through each individual section, doing the first 20-30 problems - getting familiar and rehearsing forgotten items from high school math (9 years ago..). For things that I didn't know, I used the book + Kahn academy to learn/master. After going through the sections once, I've gone back thereafter and reviewed again (trying to find and master areas I have a hard time with).
Out of the 5 lb. book, I have continued to struggle with the Inequalities & Absolute values +Divisibility & Primes sections. Is anyone familiar with materials online (something like kahn academy) that they found useful that they may direct me to?
If you can lead me to anything useful for those sections, I would be quite grateful. I've probably spent 100+ hrs studying quant (combo of 5lb book and kahn academy links from ETS page) + verbal (Kaplan 500 GRE words + Reading Comprehension book by Manhattan prep).
Side note:
Early weeks of Jan I took two practice tests: Princeton Review online test (q. 150; v. 150; a. 5) & ETS PowerPrep (Q. 150; V. 150; A. not scored). Then 3 weeks ago I took a Manhattan prep practice test (v. 153; q.151; a. not scored). I'm not too concerned with these scores because all three I took in a very rushed manner, after long days at work and deciding to do it quite last minute late in the evening. Although I plan on doing a practice test this coming weekend that would reflect that on the test day (with plenty of rest, not rushing and planned). I'm trying really hard to do everything I can to get 80th percentile scores. I strongly advise against taking the GRE test 6-months post brain surgery... But it's too late and spendy to change my mind at this point. Erm...
