I know that it sums to -1.5, but what does "round to the nearest tenth" means?

I am sorry i didnt answer your question completely...btw..basically 1.5 is already rounded to nearest tenth, so you don't have to do anything with 1.5
Mind it there is no digit after tenth digit(.5) so you dont need to round it .
If this number would 1.567 then after rounding to nearest tenth it will be 1.6 (because after tenth digit there is 6 which is greater then 4)
Here is another example 1.5444 ....after rounding it to nearest tenth it will be 1.5
i think you got your answer.

Hey All,

Look like the conversation has come around to the answer. But yes, the "round to the nearest tenth" is just a little bit of misdirection. The math itself does that for you. Usually, it would simply mean that if the hundreds digit is 0-4, you would leave the tenth digit as is, and if the hundreds digit were 5-9, you would round it up.

3.44 --> 3.4
3.45 --> 3.5

Good luck!
