Hi, I need help on problem #11 pg 188 on Guide #5 Word Problems. The answer in the back seems confusing. How can A be true?
For example, Roger bought no fewer than 7 pencils can mean 7, 8 ,9, 10 and etc. Restrictions involved Pencil > Eraser and 12 <= P + E <=20;
If P+E = 12 and P=7 then yes E= 5 and that still satisfies P > E
If P + E = 20 and P = 7 then E = 13 then no it does not satisfy P > E so therefore A is out. But it isn't...please help! Thanks!
