Guide 3, Chapter 5, Problem Set #13

I tried plugging in numbers, such as r = 2, and I'm not sure why A isn't the answer. It looks like, for A, you would need to add the two radii (2+2), plug the base (2root3). B would just be 1/3(4pi).

What is incorrect in my thinking?

You forgot that BC would also be part of the perimeter of the shaded region, not just arc BDC. :)
