GRE VS GMAT for MBA - Why do people take GMAT

Since the GRE score is accepted for admission to all top B-schools, why do people take the GMAT?

The GMAT is still considered industry standard--it has been for decades. Also, because most people believe the GRE to be easier, when you take the GRE, you are effectively telling the schools that you were afraid to take the more difficult test. That isn't to say you'll be punished (no one can answer that question), but it's certainly something the schools will know.
