GRE scoring pattern

by sushrut17 Sat Sep 14, 2013 10:04 pm

i have registered for 6 free "Full length tests " that we get when we purchase any book of your publication. The quandary i am in is about the scoring methodology adopted by your company. Yesterday night i completed my 5th test, i scored 166 in quant, but about 8-9 qstns went wrong out of 40, so should i not score 160-161? Is the same strategy followed by ETS, for scoring of actual GRE? Hoping for a rply.

Hey Sushrut,

The scoring is not a 1 to 1 thing. Questions have weight depending on their difficultly level and other issues. And yes, we have striven to make our test cleave as closely to the scoring algorithm of the actual GRE as possible.
