Geometry Guide Ch. 5, Problem Set #14

by jakestotz12 Thu Aug 11, 2016 6:41 pm

I used the same numbers as the book did in it's solution of getting A<B, so we would get rid of A and C. However, when I use 4 as the length of the square that would give me 16-4pie which is greater than 1 thus getting rid of B would it not? So the Answer should be D not B right?

The circle is defined as having an area of pi, so you actually can't plug in your own numbers. This shape has a definitive area.
