Elana Cooper has worked in admissions consulting for over five years. Elana is a former Division I Track and Field athlete who graduated with a Bioengineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She also earned a masters in Biomedical Engineering from City College that included being a National Science Foundation (NSF) Bridge to Doctorate Fellow, with a focus on Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, and is currently a PhD Fellow for Corporate Product and Process Development at Georgia Tech. She understands the competitive application process and academic rigors of performing at both levels.

She served on various Penn-sponsored admissions panels and engineering advisory boards. She helped recruit and retain qualified, well-rounded candidates that would enhance the academic and social culture on campus. This role naturally expanded into her becoming an Alumni Interviewer for Penn Admissions. In this position, she evaluates a student's excellence of mind and ability to convey potential impact and match to the university.
