filling in blank

by jabreu37 Tue Aug 06, 2013 9:34 pm

I purchased the sentence equivalence and text completion book, 8th guide from manhattan gre online store. My question is what can I do if I am not able to come up with a word of my own to fill the blank?

When the pivot is in disagreement does this mean that I have to find a word that is opposite on the gre multiple choice? If pivot is in agreement does this mean I find word with same meaning?

Thanks.

Hey Jorge,

If you can't find a fill-in, you'll just have to move on to the answer choices and hope that you find the right answer. But you should pretty much always be able to find a fill-in; that's just a question of understanding the sentence. So if you're finding this is a common problem, that might say something more fundamental about your english comprehension.

And yes, you've got the pivots right on!
