Exam Prep

by shruti347 Sat Aug 30, 2014 3:26 pm

Hi,

I plan on taking the GRE the first week of October. I've been out of school for 3 years, and I'm really weak in math. I plan on spending 6-8 hours a day studying. What sort of study plan would you recommend? I bought the Manhattan Prep 5lb practice problems book, 8 mprep study guides, and the official guide to the revised GRE.

Is 1 month enough to learn all the basics of math and memorize vocabulary?

Thanks.

Hey Shrutl,

This question has been asked numerous times here on the forums, so I would encourage you to look around. In short, I can't recommend some kind of individualized study plan without knowing a huge amount about you--it's more along the lines of private tutoring than a simple forum post. However, I can tell you that the standard amount of time our students study is 3 months. A class runs 9 weeks, and people generally study for a week or two before and/or after.
