Error in QC & DI final problem

by ayjayar Wed Mar 19, 2014 4:42 pm

In Chapter 8, on page 157 of the solution for the final problem, the GDP is calculated as being (.015) x (205 million) / .03 and (.015) x (342.5 million) / .015. I believe the .015s should be .15 as they represent 15%.

The final denominator is correct, as it represents 1.5%, but the other .015s multiplied by sales are errors, I believe.

Hey Ayj,

Yep! It should be .15 to represent 15%. However, because of the way it's done, it doesn't really make much of a difference to the overall explanation. Still, great catch. Thanks! We'll correct it in future editions!
