Difference in RC questions from GRE and GMAT

by eee062010 Wed May 14, 2014 1:20 pm

How do the GRE and the GMAT reading comprehension questions vary? Will it be wise if a man, who is preparing for GRE, follow The Official guide to the GMAT for reading comprehension question?

Hey Eee,

They are DEEPLY similar. Basically, yes, you should be safe studying for one from the other's books. HOWEVER, I'm not sure why'd you want to, unless you just happen to have those GMAT books lying around and you really don't want to spend the money to buy the GRE books. (Side note: LSAT RC is VERY different, so don't use any LSAT books!).

Yes, Tommywallach. I shouldn't follow as many book as I can. Heretofore I thought I should follow the following books-

1. Official guide to the GRE
2. Manhattan 7
3. Manhattan 5lb

But I felt I should work more for RC question and was searching for proper materials. As a result I added official guide to the GMAT to my list.

I hope it will enhance my performance.

Bless me!
