Analytical Writing: Issue

by susannechen01 Sun Jun 21, 2015 3:52 am

Is it better to have examples from history and world events, or is it just as good to have personal examples or examples from movies?

I think history/current events and personal stuff is by far the best. In terms of which is better, I don't think either is better, though it partially depends on the prompt. There are prompts that can really ONLY be answered with personal stories. There are others where personal stories are often a little bit beside the point. That said, both categories can provide fantastic examples, so just use your judgment.
