5lb Book of GRE Practice Problems, Reading Comp

I don't understand an answer for the Reading Comprehension in the 5lb Book of GRE Practice Problems. It's question 66, Chapter 5 p. 205. I disagree with the answer, the successful artisan becomes a samurai and I need someone to explain why it is correct.
