Worry about vs Worry over?

by samichange Wed Nov 06, 2013 7:08 am

What is the difference between the two usages -

worry over
worry about

Or are both the usages correct?

1.I am worried about the falling value of my stocks.

2.I am worried over the falling value of my stocks.
OR
I am worrying over the falling value of my stocks.

I think that when I say worried about it means that I constantly keep worrying about the falling value of my stocks.
In other words, it is a condition that I am always in ;)

When I say worrying over , I mean that at the moment I am worrying about the falling value of my stocks.
In other words, i mean to stress the act of my worrying.

I do not know whether I am right or wrong, so please help me out.

That sounds pretty accurate. I've also seen them used interchangeably.

I can essentially guarantee you that this kind of thing won't show up on your exam.
