This is exactly what I tell my students to do, so I like it. :)
I don't recommend doing ALL of the OG problems after reading that chapter though. Do some. Then, after finishing the book, do a random mix of different topics from that book (so that you can start to get used to identifying for yourself what's being tested). But still don't do them all yet. Save some for after you have done 2 or 3 books, and then again do a mix of different topics from multiple books. And finally save some for after you've done ALL of the books.
Part of the issue is that the real test is never going to say: here's a Number Properties Divisibility problem! You have to figure that out for yourself, and all of the questions are going to be randomly mixed - so just don't forget that you have to develop that skill too.
