What are the good options after GMAT-620

by vivekbhu Sat Jan 28, 2012 2:22 am

Hi All,

This is Vineet. I finished my GMAT yesterday and to my horror, my score was 620. I was consistently getting 680-730 score in my practice tests but on the D-day things got misfired and i was given this pretty low score.

I wanted to know if with this score, I can get into some good B-School. I am mainly interested in Indian Executive MBA and ISB. I can look for abroad MBA as well if scholarships are available there.

I am from most competitive group of candidates i.e. Indian,Male, 30, approx 9 years of experience in IT (mainly in Finance sector). I cleared IIT-JEE and passed out from IT-BHU. I am also CFA level 1 passed out.

Please suggest, should I go ahead with applications with this low gmat score?

You're asking a very good question - I don't, unfortunately, have the expertise to answer. This folder is for strategy questions about the test itself, not admissions. :)

There's another folder here called Ask An Admissions Consultant. Post your question there - they'll be the best ones to advise you. Good luck!
