What are the frequently tested topics?

by babydeppkp Fri Jun 27, 2014 9:37 pm

I have read in one of your forum posts or blog post that the frequently tested topics keep changing all the time in GMAT. May I know what are the topics to concentrate on now.

This is what I got in my google search, does it still remain the same?

Quant Exponents, linear and quadratic equations, inequalities
Fractions, percents
General story / translation problems (that involve algebra, profits, etc.)
Statistics (mean, median) and Sets
Divisibility and prime, pos and neg, odd and even
Triangles, polygons
Algebra: the major topics (exponents, linear equations, quadratics, that kind of stuff)

Verbal SC: Structure, Meaning, Modifiers, Parallelism
CR: Find the Assumption, Strengthen, Weaken, Inference
RC: Main Idea, Specific Detail / Lookup, Inference

Yes, though I probably wouldn't include Sets on the quant list. They're more medium.

Also, of the "overall" topics, geometry is the least frequently tested. Algebra and anything in story problem form (including classic word problems as well as fractions and percents) are common.
