Wall Street Journal

Hi,

I am currently a Manhattan GMAT Student. I want to improve my reading comprehension skills.I would like to subscribe to WSJ but am torn between the regular print version and the online version.My understanding is that both will be same from quality stand point but wanted to get an opinion which will be more fruitful from usability and other perspective.

Could you please provide few comments.

Thank you,
Atanu

I used to subscribe to the online version. You get the same content (and then some, actually), so that's not really a concern. You will have to read CAT passages on a computer, though, so you may want to do the same with WSJ - the act of reading on a computer, where you can't take notes, underline, etc, could help with your ability on the test as well.

FYI - a lot of the WSJ stuff is a bit too casual / not complex enough compared to the GMAT.

Some more GMAT-like sources:
* http://magazine.uchicago.edu/ - particularly articles in the "Investigations" tab
* http://harvardmagazine.com/
* http://sciam.com/ (This can get a bit too casual for the GMAT, but it's probably worth including because it exposes you to science passages.)
