Verbal and math review simultaneously?

I am starting my GMAT preparation this week and have been reading articles on the Manhattan website on how to structure my study plan but I seem to have missed articles on how to structure my primary review.

For primary review, should I mix should mix up review of math and verbal or do only math review and then do only a verbal review? I will be using the MGMAT Strategy Guides.

My current study plan looks like this:
- 1 chapter of a Math Strategy Guide per day until I reach the chapter for practicing OG problems, which I plan to spread over 2 days.

- When I'm done with the Math review, I plan to move on to the Verbal Strategy Guides, following the same pattern above.

- After completing the math and verbal strategy guides, I plan to do a comprehensive review via practice of the MGMAT CAT exams and OG problems.

Could the experts please give comments on my current study plan? Can I continue with this or should I alternately study Math and Verbal strategy guides? Like complete 1 Math strategy guide, then complete 1 verbal strategy guide, go back and do another math strategy guide after then do a verbal strategy guide?

Any advice would be very helpful.

I would mix up quant and verbal a bit more than it sounds like you're describing. In a 1-2 hour period, I'd do only quant or only verbal. And I might do a couple of those in a row on quant or on verbal. But then I'd switch to the other for the next study session. Your brain responds better if you give it a little variety. :)

Have you taken a CAT yet? You should - that tells you your strengths and weaknesses, which will help you to prioritize the various material. You mention that you've been reading various articles on our site; have you read this:
