verb issue

since the word replacing is used in question .. i suppose i can eliminate answer choices b, c, e .. D says insofar replaced so carry similar meaning as replacing .. however replacing in question means action started in past and still going .. only A seems to take care of this ... however answer is c ? please help. [/u]

Thanks for the reply, but I had to deleted the question anyway. OG paper tests are on our list of banned sources (see the "sticky" in this folder for a reminder), as they are copyrighted material currently sold by GMAC.
