Using Prime Box in DS questions - need help.

by Dman Thu May 15, 2008 6:35 pm

Hi,

I'm pretty good in using the prime box & prime tree, but in reading chapter 8 of the strategy guides, doesn't seem to sink in all that well within a DS question.

Having a hard time with seeing if a statement is sufficient or not when setting up the prime box.

Let me know if you need more details - I was specifically looking at the example on page 77 & 78 of the Number properties strategy guide.

Thanks
Dman

Hi, sorry we haven't gotten back to you sooner - the forum is getting swamped with questions!

Please take a look at the stickies and make sure to follow the guidelines. In order to discuss a specific problem, you need to post the entire text of that problem (and answer choices, if applicable - but you don't need to post the DS answers). This is the only way we can possibly answer as many questions as we do; if we had to stop and look things up, we wouldn't get through half of the questions we answer! Thanks.

It's also a good idea to try to illustrate (via a specific problem) exactly where you're going astray. Tell us what you do understand about the problem and tell us where you went wrong (or, if you don't know exactly where that was, just explain your thought process throughout and we'll tell you where you went wrong).
