No the answer has to be E. Let me disprove C by plugging in numbers.
Let the number of apples be 5 and cost per apple be 3. Therefore total revenue generated from the sale of apples alone is 15(which is indicated in Statement 2).

Furthermore, number of oranges have to be 10(5 more than apples).Cost per orange =4.9(.1 less than apple).
Therefore revenue generated from sale of apples=24.5

So total revenue=24.5+15=39.5

OR
Revenue from the sale of apples = 15=6(number)*2.5(Price per apple)
No Of Oranges=6+5=11. revenue from Oranges=11*2.4=26.4
Total Revenue26.4+15=41.4. How can Total Revenues be Different? So the answer is E

The second answer is also wrong. It has to be D.

The smallest we can make the length of a side is 5.5 cm (which would get rounded up to 6cm) and 5.5 * 5.5 = 30.25.

@1058622554: Wrong Answers to both questions(Surely, cannot be official ones)

Please read (and follow!) the forum guidelines when posting. This folder is not for test questions. MGMAT and GMATPrep problems are the only ones that can be posted on the MGMAT forums and they need to be posted in the appropriate folders.

If these questions are from MGMAT or GMATPrep, please re-post in the appropriate folders. If the problem is from another source, please ask your instructor before or after class or doing office hours.

If you are not in one of our classes, and the problem is not from MGMAT or GMATPrep, then you can ask about it on another forum (I recommend Beat the GMAT).
