Traveling Consultants studying for GMAT?

by la2ny Fri May 25, 2012 9:54 pm

Hi. I'm a traveling consultant. I travel for work M-TH and have found it challenging to find time to study and sustain momentum. I am able to get momentum in studying, but then will lose it at times when work spikes come at me (60-70 hour weeks, which is on top of travel). I'm not necessarily looking for a study group, but would like to network with other traveling consultants and how they deal with balancing between studying and work commitments. I start this thread b/c I wonder if my GMAT/MBA goals are slowly fading away. I've put so much commitment, dedication, and effort into studying the past 4-5 months, but work is so intense right now I feel I'm in danger of losing it all. The past few weeks I've only had like 2-3 solid study days. I'm scheduled to take the GMAT in 3 weeks and have lost confidence. Ideally, I'd like to study 3-4 hours a day leading up to test day, but given work demands it's hard to foresee that happening. Would be great to get feedback from other consultants studying for GMAT or any feedback in general. Thanks.
