If ABCD is a trapezoid, where AB is parallel to CD, what is the area of ABCD?
(1) 2(AB) + CD = 12
(2) The height of the trapezoid is 5 inches
Hey guys, why can't we divide by 2 so ab + cd=6?
Sorry what am I missing?

because the 2 is only being multiplied by AB, not by CD..
