to be equally...as...

by fenruyun Thu Sep 10, 2009 6:38 am

I have come across the structure " X is equally...as Y" several times during my preparation and I really wonder whether this structure is OK in the exam. And what if there's another option "as...as".Which one should I pick?

thanks~

"equally ... as X" should be considered wrong.

if "equally" is used, it should be used in isolation.
the two candidates should be allocated time equally in the debate.
she has lots of experience, but many of the other candidates are equally qualified.
