Timing question

by westvanyo Sun Sep 07, 2014 9:17 pm

Hi Manhattan GMAT instructors,

Do you know if the algorithm of the GMAT takes into account how much time did you spend on a question?, For example, if i take 3 minutes on a hard question and if i guess on the same question, does the algorithm detects this to calculate the score and the following questions?

Thanks.

The algorithm does not take into account how much time you spend on a specific problem, no.

Of course, that time spent may hurt you later in the section...but that's a different discussion. :)
