The usage of the phrase "many of"

by BrianD224 Tue Nov 11, 2014 8:34 am

Dear Mentor:

I have one question concerning the usage of the phrase "many of".

Since the word "many" indicates number, is it grammatically wrong in GMAT to use the phrase "many of" to modify a none? For instance, can we say "many of the students" ?

Thanks so much!

"many of the students" is fine, just as, say, "three of the students" is fine.
