As per the forum rules, we need a verifiable source for the problem before we can deal with this question. If the question is not one of ours or one that is copyright-free, we will have to delete the question..

And I'll tell you once more: there IS a "w" key on your keyboard; it's between the q and the e. Please practice using this, because your AWA score on the GMAT will tank if you insist on replacing all your w's with two v's..

The source of this question is from the GMAT Prep Test 3 that you can purchase from the MBA.com site. Given that, could you provide an explanation?

The paid GMAT Prep material is not allowed here. Only the free material.

The paid material is off-limits just as the OG's are, by explicit request from GMAC.

(Also, this is the wrong folder even for the free problems. GMAT Prep has its own folder.)
