the result and the number of correct answer

by ASMAA997 Tue Aug 16, 2016 6:02 am

hi ,
I took the cat tests, sometimes the number of correct answers I are less than the test I took before it but still I got a higher score than the test before , do the score doesn't depend on the number of correct answers?
what affects the final score more?

No, the score is not dependent on the number of correct answers. The score depends primarily upon the difficulty levels of the questions you answer correctly vs. incorrectly. Most people answer approximately 60% of the questions correctly on the real test, regardless of final score.

If you'd like to learn more about how the scoring works (and I strongly recommend that!), read the Scoring section of our free e-book The GMAT Uncovered. (A copy is already in your student center.) You don't have to get super far down into the details, but a general understanding will help you to maximize your performance on the test.

Good luck!
