as far as "including" -- don't worry about the grammar of "including". as long as some group of things is mentioned before the comma, just assume that the grammar is fine.

the point of "including" is that you are listing SOME, BUT NOT ALL, of the things in the previously mentioned group.
as long as that's happening, then, the use of "including" should be ok.
