Study Schedule

by GeronV696 Fri Aug 17, 2018 11:19 am

Hi!

I enrolled in the MGMAT course a couple of weeks ago and I'm extremely satisfied about the program! Have really been seeing some significant progress!

Now, I'm wondering if my planned schedule outlined below is realistic or not in order to get a desired score in the 600-650 range (just made another practice exam and had a score of 570, compared to 510 when I took one without any practice at all):

In short: it looks like I will have completed the course by the end of next week (08/23); after that I want to take two weeks to practice thoroughly until my first try around 09/14, and then take another month for thorough reviewing and practicing before going for my second try around 10/28.

Thanks for any opinions on how realistic this plan is.

Geron Vanderfeesten.

Did you take your practice tests under 100% official conditions? No use of the pause button, didn't take longer breaks than allowed on the real thing, etc.

If you did, then that 570 is a pretty* accurate indicator of your current scoring ability. (*Note: standardized tests have much larger standard deviations than most people realize. The real test has an SD of +/- 30 points. Our tests have an SD of +/-50 points.)

Your goal is 600 to 650, so you're in a good position for the timeframe that you described, yes. There are no guarantees in life, of course, but I would say that your plan is reasonable / realistic. :D

Good luck!
