Hello
this question is from 1000 sc, the OA is A. But I dont get it, because in the second comparison, the author is basically trying to say that the smell of a fine wine is better than the smell of a grape juice. If so, how could he describe the grape juice's smell as an exquisite bouquet?
I mean that if the author says that the smell of a grape juice is also exquisite, then the author is saying that the smell of the juice is as good as that of a fine wine then the author is changing the real meaning of the sentence, that the lightning-fast genius of playwright Tom Stoppard is as good as the pedestrian efforts of some of his contemporaries.
And I think the author means that the lightning-fast genius of playwright Tom Stoppard is superior to the pedestrian efforts of some of his contemporaries.
That's why I chose E. Any suggestion?
