So...As/ so...as to be

by sana.noor Fri Jul 24, 2015 10:08 am

Respected Ron!

I know that idiom "so X as to be Y" is right (OG 11 question 33 says its wrong but one of the right choice in gmatprep question is using this construction)
are following constructions
1) "So X As Y" and 2) "So X as to Y" right?

hi—
we need some specific context here.
* please provide examples.
* what are 'x' and 'y'?
* OG explanations are often incorrect (they are not written by the question writers—they are outsourced to people of lesser ability)
* OG11 is so old that i don't even have access to it anymore; your example(s) should be current.

thanks.
