You can't use Smart Numbers exactly, not the way that it is used on PS. But you can pick your own numbers to solve the problems. The technique is called Testing Cases for DS and it works a bit differently than Smart Numbers. (And not only can you use it, but you should! Testing Cases is a great way to get through DS.)
