Should I buy an earlier OG book set?

by AmandaP735 Fri Jun 30, 2017 4:05 pm

Hi! I purchased the MGMAT series books and I love them and the GMAT navigator! I also purchased the 2017 edition of the OG, Quant, and Verbal, but as I'm practicing FDP sets there seems to be a limited number of MGMAT created explanations available for the 2017 guides. Is it safe to assume that if I buy an earlier version that there will be many more MGMAT explanations available in the Navigator? The OG explanations in the back of their book are terrible in comparison to your rationales. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi! Thanks for your question. We are almost done writing all of the 2017 explanations for the Big Book and more are going live every week. (We don't provide explanations for the Q and V supplements, so going "back in time" wouldn't help there.) I would anticipate that the Big Book explanations will all be up by the end of this month (July)—so if your timeline isn't very short, then I think you should be fine with 2017. :)

And thanks for the kind words—I'm glad that you find our materials helpful! Good luck with your studies!

That's wonderful news! I'm not testing til September so July works well for me. I didn't realize there weren't A&E for the Quant and Verbal reviews, so that explains some of the missing rationales. Thanks again!
