but i am guessing that it may be C just because of the reason that result of is correct when compared to result from.

i appreciate if you provide us the official Answer !

The official Ans is E

The intention of the sentnence is clear.... Slips of tounge not X but rather y
A
B - and instead wordy
C - being rather ..wordy and awkward
D - and is not appropriate; but rather is more appropriate
E

I was confused between A and E

you have to see the parallelism here.

not...reveal....but ...result
so A cannot be the answer. I chose E.
