Self Study -- Which Plan DOC should i follow?

Hi there,

I bought the self-study plan (with video) a while ago... fast forward, now i'm back and ready to begin my 60'sh day plan!

I looked at my documents and I have 3 syllabi:
- a short 9 session version (3 page)
- a full 9-session syllabus with all the tasks, problems etc. (14p)
- a 10 week weekly breakdown with class/reading/action rows

this confuses me a bit since they're similar but somewhat different. Which syllabus should i use? Should i follow one of them? all of them?

Define "a while ago..."

We updated the curriculum in November - was it before then? If so, make sure you're working off of the most recent versions, not older ones. If you're not sure, give the office a call (800.576.GMAT) and have someone help you figure it out.

Beyond that, we do offer a shorter and a more detailed version of the curriculum, but they're ultimately the same (though the more detailed version may have more). You can follow whichever one you think is right for you. Some people like the shorter version because they think it's cleaner and they don't like the big long spreadsheet because it's overwhelming. Some people really like the big long spreadsheet because they want to be able to see every last thing.

Whatever you choose to use, just make sure that you don't get overwhelmed by the huge volume of stuff you could be doing. You don't need to do it all. The idea is that we want to provide enough in-depth materials in all areas so that each student can customize to his/her particular strengths and weaknesses - so don't feel that you aren't studying enough if you aren't doing every last thing on the more detailed lists. :)
