my scores fluctuated
The two most common causes:
1) timing
2) mental fatigue
So we need to address both of those things.
While working in each question type of the verbal section i achieved a 90-95 % accuracy , but this would drop when I attempted the entire test.
This is 100% normal and exactly what you should expect, actually. So this is telling me that you also need to learn more about how the scoring system works on this test, because I'm almost certain from what you said that you are currently trying to take the test the way you took tests in school. In other words, your primary focus is on getting everything right. If you continue to try to get everythign right, you will NOT get the best score you could get.
How is that possible? Read:

Next, the timing issue. Your first task is to change your testing mindset: the first article above (In it to win it) will help with that. Then, start implementing the strategies in the timing article I also linked above. It typically takes about 4-6 weeks to address timing issues, FYI.
Now, you probably also have some content areas on which you need to improve. Use the below article to analyze your most recent MGMAT CATs to help you set up a review plan:
http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... ice-tests/Then read this:
http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... -the-gmat/That last article contains a lot of the stuff I just told you, but it also contains additional information.
Okay, now I'm reading the second half of your post... and, yes, you're confirming that you did mess up the timing. :) And I totally agree that analyzing problems is CRUCIAL to your success! See the "How To Study" section of the "studying and struggling" article I linked above.
Yes, the test is changing in June, so you have your work cut out for you, but I'm guessing that a significant part of the problem is timing (and probably on quant as well). If you can fix that, that could be a substantial boost to your score right there. And then of course you'll also work on the actual content.
So, do the above and come back here with questions or when you need further advice. Good luck!
