Re: According to Italy's top anti-Mafia

However,I chose choice E because it clarifies the meaning of the sentence:shows a cause and effect ,the reason Why the mobster took refuge in the town:Because it was near to those he most trusted In choice A this relationship is not shown, although the modifiers are placed correctly Since MEANING TR...

Re:

The conclusion states that the school expects to reduce *dramatically* the amount of sugar children consume specifically because the students will no longer be able to get such sugary drinks at school. You have to make sure that you directly address that conclusion. If, as a result of no longer hav...

Re: CR- The Civil Service Act of 1883, also known as the Pendlet

I agree that we can get to C by POE (Process of Elimination). But as to why C is actually correct ... The author states that the US Gov has been anchored to competence rather than corruption for 100 years, starting at 1883. This would bring us up to 1983. Re: In Kravonia, the average salary for jobs requiring a college

Re: CR: Codex Berinensis -- OG 121

OG is a banned source; it is illegal to post OG questions anywhere on the web. This is a novel way to duck a tough question :P I would've really liked to know what the folks at MGMAT thought of this question. I really didn't understand the reasoning here! And there is no proper explanation given ei...

Re: For protection from the Sun, the Mojave...

I am still not clear on why E is incorrect. The sentence refers to 'shades' and naturally, roofs has to follow, else it might mean that several 'shades' had only a single roof. Will be grateful if MGMAT instructors care to clear my confusion. Thanks in advance...!!! the main problem with (e) is the...

Re: As the honeybee’s stinger is heavily barbed

if you have "preposition + NOUN + VERBing", then "VERBing" is just a modifier, and can be dropped without changing the surrounding grammar. therefore, the sentence should still make sense, in context, if you write it as just "preposition + NOUN", without the "VERB...
