It will be 100
Let the no of small can is X;then Larger can=x-40
Volume of the small can=15x,and larger can=(x-40)25
As same vol is used in a week
Hence
15x*7=(x-40)*25*7

Solve for X,u will get x as 100

You can use any concept of your liking but bottom line is to answer the question and that too in stipulated time of 75 min.If you feel you can finish all the question in less than 75 min using all concepts,then there is no harm at all.But not that these are very math question of elementy math ex...

Hi! It is a not a bad idea to use calculus but in opinion it may be time consuming.I am yet to come across any question where I need to use calculus,Simple logic and algebra are good enough to solve any question for the GMAT.Try to solve question using calculus if it consuming around 2 min it is goo...

No 1 is quite good one,IMO should be A only as only three prime factors of 70 and those will represent the x,y,and z.

If there is question on hypotenuse then it must be right angled triangle(pls check again).If it is RA isosceles triangle then IMO:D - 8(square root of 2)

Equate
a(2+sqrt2)=16+16sqrt(2)

a=8*sqrt(2)
